Kids-Kab Rates & Policies- Kids Transportation Services Chicago Suburbs

Registering with Kids-Kab is simple and easy.

Call to schedule a meeting with a Kids-Kab representative. We make every effort to meet the parents, children, and any possible care taker ahead of time so that everyone is comfortable.
Fill out the registration and rider schedule forms.
At our “Face-to-Face”, we will go over your child’s schedule in detail so that nothing is missed.
Payment for the registration fee (annual) and pre-payment for the scheduled rides (monthly basis).
After supplying two (2) 1 ½” x 1 ½” photos of your child, you will receive a Kids-Kab ID identifying your child as a Kids-Kab rider.

Rates are based on the total destination miles from our office location which is located at:
825 N. Cass Ave. #113 Westmont, IL 60559

We do provide service beyond our Primary Service Area under the following guidelines: For every mile above and beyond our base of 5 miles (total destination), please add $2.00 to the base rate. For example: If the total destination miles between our office, the pick-up location, and to the drop-off location is under 5 miles, the base rate is $16/ride per child. “Per Ride” means ‘One-Way’ trip. If the total destination is more than 5 miles, for example 8 total miles traveled, then you would add $2.00/additional mile to the base rate:

Base Rate (5 miles) = $16 $2 x 3 additional miles = $6 Total rate charged = $22/ride

Some round trip ride requests require our drivers to stay at the same location for the return trip. An additional charge may apply. Discounts may apply for more than one (1) child (same family household) going to/from the same destinations.

Up to a $15.00 service charge may be applied if:

If the driver is asked to wait more than 5 minutes past pick-up time.
If the driver is asked to deliver an item left in the vehicle
Change in location of pick-up/drop-off within 24 hrs. notice
Change in time of pick-up/drop-off within 24 hrs. notice
If driver is required to stay at the destination for round trips (after school activities)
If accompanying adult is to ride with the child (i.e. Nanny)
Non-scheduled ride(s) subject to service charge above regular rate

Subject to additional charge at our discretion.

Please contact us to advise of any cancellations as soon as possible. If same day cancellation, please call us at 630-493-9KID (543). All our drivers are typically out on their service runs by 7A.M., so please call before then. All scheduled rides are pre-paid…sorry, no credits.

*Vacation
Family vacation days will be the only exception to credit days. We will allow up to two (2) weeks of vacation credits per school year provided a 30-day notice is given.

Non-Scheduled Rides
Non-scheduled/same day service/change in scheduled rides will be provided depending on vehicle availability and based on mileage. We will do our best to accommodate you. An additional service charge may be assessed to these rides.

Annual School Registration Fee – $30 per child/family
(Renewed every school year)

Summer Program Registration Fee – $15 per child/family
(Renewed every summer) The summer starts our new year for registration fees. If you sign up for our Summer Transportation Program, the $15 registration fee will apply. If you continue our service for the following school year, we will offer a 50% discount for the annual school registration fee listed above.

Rates are subject to change with or without notice. However, as long as gas prices stay consistent, rates will not change for the school year once you have signed and returned the service contract.
